Become a Mentor – Help Your Organization Shrink the Cybersecurity Talent Gap
From the 2025 Commonwealth Cyber Initiative Experiential Learning Program, CCI has supported and funded CTEWorkforce, a workforce technology company, to deliver the Technology Enabled Engagement with Mentoring™ program or TEEM for short. Over the past five years, hundreds of students have successfully completed the program and emerged with the cybersecurity skills experience necessary to make them workplace ready.
What is TEEM?
TEEM is an award-winning mentee-driven learning program that facilitates online mentoring with an industry professional, for Virginia high school students interested in a cybersecurity career.
The Benefits of Mentorship
- The mentorship commitment is minimal, just attend a virtual meeting with your mentee for one hour a week for six-weeks. The students facilitate the weekly sessions, where they will present what they are learning, and solicit feedback from their mentor (you).
- Your company receives access to the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, as well as helping maintain Virginia’s reputation as a cybersecurity center of excellence. It’s a great way to volunteer and give back with a minimal burden on time.
